Vanquish Fat Reduction
Advanced Skin Fitness is the first clinic in the Dallas-Fort Worth area to offer non-surgical fat reduction using Vanquish™.
Reducing fat in areas like the abdomen, thighs and lower back can feel impossible after consistent efforts have been made with rigorous exercise and stringent dieting. Perhaps you have reached a plateau and the fatty areas around your stomach and other problem areas are just not budging. You’re sure that seeking surgery is not an option for you. But there’s no reason to settle with the flabby flesh that is making you uncomfortable. At Advanced Skin Fitness, we offer a few fat removal choices, including Vanquish™ Fat Reduction. It’s a non-surgical procedure that’s effective at minimizing the “spare tire” and “love handles” that you may be struggling to get rid of.
Vanquish™ is a comfortable treatment that uses focused-field radio signals to destroy fat cells in your front abdominal, lower back and “love handles” areas. It’s fast and can safely be used to trim your waistline without any risk of damage to your skin. One unique feature of Vanquish™ is that it can target and treat areas where bulges of fat are present without touching the skin. This is a great alternative for people who want to avoid procedures like liposuction and are primarily concerned with reducing specific areas of excess fat.
This procedure has been used on a large portion of the population with positive results. We understand that before getting the treatment, some patients may want to address some concerns, so they can fully grasp what the treatment is and what they can expect during and after the treatment. We have included some common questions that some patients may have. Call us to see how Vanquish can complement our array of treatments.
What is Vanquish™ Fat Reduction and how does it work?
Vanquish™ Fat Reduction is a radio frequency technology that reduces fat by heating unwanted fat cells to destroy and eliminate them.
Vanquish™ is a non-invasive fat reduction procedure that uses radio frequency waves to directly target particular areas and destroy the fat cells. The device delivers deep heat to unwanted fat cells, which are unable to withstand the amount of heat applied to them. They subsequently die and are eliminated from the body through the natural process. Since the fat cells are specifically targeted by the radio waves, the surrounding tissue is not disturbed or damaged by the heat.
Consuming more water should help expedite the elimination of dead fat cells from the body.
How long is the Vanquish™ treatment and how many treatments are required to see results?
Each session is about a 30-45 minute long process, depending on the area being treated.
Each Vanquish™ treatment is relatively fast, but require about 4 to 6 sessions for noticeable results. Recommended time between each treatment is about one week. Patients should expect to see continued improvement up to one month after the last treatment.
What areas can be treated with Vanquish™?
The most common areas treated are the abdomen, lower back, and thighs.
Vanquish outperforms some fat reduction procedures with its ability to treat large surface areas in one session, unlike other body contouring treatments such as Coolsculpting that can only treat small areas one at a time.
Is it Vanquish™ painful and is there any downtime?
The procedure is not painful and patients can return to their normal activities directly following the treatment.
The treatment is non-invasive and the device used to deliver the heat to the fat cells does not touch the body during the procedure. Patients are comfortable and can expect to feel a warming sensation during the treatment, which may feel similar to the heat distributed through a heating pad.
Are there side effects associated with Vanquish™?
Patients may feel a mild temporary irritation after the treatment.
Although you can resume your daily regime after the procedure, some mild redness and tenderness should be expected. The effects should only last an hour after the treatment. The redness may continue for days after the treatment, but it should clear up eventually.
How long will the results last with Vanquish™?
Once the procedure has been performed and the treatments have been finalized, patients should see permanent results.
Vanquish destroys unwanted fat cells and once they’re removed from the body, they don’t regenerate. It will take a few weeks to really see the desired contoured shape you want for your stomach, back and thighs. But as long as you follow a healthy regimented diet and lifestyle, the results should last.
Who is the best candidate for Vanquish™?
Patients who are focused on specific areas of unwanted fat are the best candidates.
Vanquish is ideal for people who want to avoid surgical procedures like liposuction and tummy tucks for fat reduction. Most patients will find that this treatment is a great alternative. Patients who are obese should not expect to see any significant results. The treatment helps to contour the body, rather than aid in weight loss. For people who specifically want to reduce fat on certain areas like the abdomen, lower back, and thighs, this is the procedure for you.
What is the difference between Vanquish™ and Coolsculpting?
One distinct difference between the two is that Vanquish™ uses heat to destroy fat cells and Coolsculpting freezes fat cells to destroy them.
Both procedures are non-invasive and highly effective at reducing fat, although one uses heat and the other uses cold. Vanquish may have a slight advantage over Coolsculpting with respect to the amount area that is covered per treatment. Vanquish can treat a much larger area at one time it does require multiple treatments. Coolsculpting involves selecting small areas and treating those areas one at a time but only 1 or 2 treatments are typically necessary.
