Richardson will be getting additional jobs as well as capital investments from CBRE according to a Community Impact article from November 19 which reports,
“CBRE will bring 550 new jobs and $13 million in capital investment to the city of Richardson via its new operations center, according to a Nov. 18 press release from the office of Gov. Greg Abbott.
So far, there are 700 CBRE employees based in Richardson with about 300 more to be added by early next year, the spokesperson said. The company’s Dallas headquarters will also add another 460 new jobs and more than $29 million in capital investment, according to Abbott’s release.
CBRE will receive grants of $3.3 million and $3.5 million from the Texas Enterprise Fund, Abbott said in the release. The fund awards “deal-closing” grants to companies considering a new project for which one Texas site is competing with other out-of-state sites, according to the state’s economic development office.”
Several key politicians and representatives were resoundingly delighted and enthralled on the developments between CBRE and Richardson according to an Office of the Texas Governor press release on November 18 which reports,
“CBRE is not a stranger to North Texas and its decision to sprout deeper roots in Dallas proves what many know about the thriving commercial real estate market here,” said Senator Royce West. “Even in the midst of a pandemic, Dallas reported the most commercial real estate deals in the U.S. in 2020. Texas knows what it takes to attract businesses and looking forward into 2022, the markets agree with CBRE that Dallas is a great place to do business.”

Richardson Mayor Paul Voelker, while excited and delighted, said in support that CBRE made a wise and strategic decision in choosing his city.
