ABOUT hydrAfacial

A POWERFUL 3 PART PROFESSIONALLY ADMINISTERED SKIN RESTORATION SYSTEM

1. CLEANSE & PEEL    2. EXTRACT & HYDRATE   3. FUSE & PROTECT

Hydrafacial is a safe, non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that delivers the beneficial properties of an elevated chemical peel in a series of specific steps for smooth healthy skin. The procedure also involves painlessly removing any exorbitance of oil that has accumulated in the pores and hydrating the skin with antioxidants.

When having a Hydrafacial treatment, the medical professional who performs the procedure will use a serum to shed the deadened skin atop the dermal surface. This dramatically enhances the healthy skin underneath the dead cells. The next step involves using GlyCal, a combination of glycolic and salicylic acid for the chemical peel effect, then excess oil is absorbed from the skin with an automatic suction tool.

HOW HydrAFacial WORKS AND WHAT IT'S FOR

The inevitable effects of aging and damaged skin can manifest through wrinkles, large pores, sagging skin, dark spots, depletion of collagen and hyperpigmentation. Although neutralizing these conditions has been a challenge for some patients, Hydrafacial has become a favored procedure to combating skin conditions that appear to be irreversible and unattractive on all skin types.

Candidates for this treatment are focused on a painless, quick, non-invasive, non-surgical solution that requires no downtime.

Typical questions that are posed about the procedure address normal concerns like; What is Hydrafacial? Is Hydrafacial painful? How much does Hydrafacial cost? We at Advanced Skin Fitness have answered some of the most common question, so patients can make an informed decision before making an appointment.

Call us if you have questions about Hydrafacial and if its the right treatment for you out of our many offerings.

What is Hydrafacial?

Hydrafacial is a safe, non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that delivers the beneficial properties of an elevated chemical peel in a series of specific steps for smooth healthy skin. The procedure also involves painlessly removing any excess of oil that has accumulated in the pores and hydrating the skin with antioxidants.

When having a Hydrafacial treatment, the aesthetic technician who performs the procedure will use a serum to shed the dead skin atop the dermal surface. This dramatically enhances the healthy skin underneath the dead cells. The next step involves using GlyCal, a combination of glycolic and salicylic acid for the chemical peel effect, then excess oil is absorbed from the skin with an automatic suction tool.

During the initial assessment, before the actual treatment, patients can have their problem areas identified and get their procedure customized for their specific skin issues. In addition, the consultant helps to sustain and preserve the skin with Antiox serum, along with Antioxidants, Peptides and Hyaluronic Acid to hydrate the skin, so that it holds moisture and elasticity.

As far as pain and discomfort, patients who receive the treatment are not encumbered by dryness, inflammation or peeling post-procedure. They find the experience comfortable enough to return to their normal activities afterward.

How much does Hydrafacial cost?

Hydrafacial at ASF costs  $175 for a single treatment and $900 for a series of 6

The cost can increase depending on the boosting serums used.

Hydrafacial and Acne

Hydrafacial penetrates the dermal layer to thoroughly clean pores and alleviate the occurrence of acne flare-ups.

Acne prone skin tends to be highly reactive to follicle blockage. This problem is difficult to alleviate when the pores are consistently clogged, making them susceptible to blackhead and pimple breakouts. When cleansing the skin with topical treatments, removing blackheads that have visibly formed may only be partially extracted. While the tips of the blackhead are gone, the roots have remained deeper in the dermal layer and need to be more aggressively addressed so the tips don’t re-emerge. This happens because the pores are still filled with an excess of sebum oil.

Vacuuming the congestive oil from the pores will allow the transition of dead skin cells to the surface of the dermis, without becoming blocked from a hair that may grow through the follicle of the skin. We use an automated suction that gently removes the lipid substance, therefore preventing acne to erupt again.

Patients will normally see immediate results directly after the treatment.

How long is a Hydrafacial treatment? Is there any downtime?

Hydrafacial treatments last about 30 minutes and there’s no downtime.

Depending on the damaged areas that require more specific treatment, the procedure may last anywhere from 30-45 minutes. Patients experience little to no discomfort and don’t present with the irritation that normally occurs after a traditional chemical peel. So with the fact that Hydrafacial is non-surgical, there is no downtime. Patients can resume their regular schedules and activities.

Even if minor redness occurs, patients can still function as normally as they did before the procedure.

HydraFacial vs. Microdermabrasion. What’s the Difference? What’s Better?
Hydrafacial is less irritating to the skin, but microdermabrasion may open the skin more to allow for better absorption of certain types of chemical peels.

Hydrafacial, like microdermabrasion, is a procedure that is intended to resurface the skin, so that dead skin cells are eliminated to expose healthy skin. There are stark differences between the two treatments, suggesting that Hydrafacial is a better option for a non-invasive, non-surgical solution to treat damaged skin. Hydrafacial can be used on all skin types and can especially relieve hyperpigmentation and rosacea, while Microdermabrasion does not. Hydrafacial is also more lenient on the skin during the exfoliation process. The shedding of dead skin cells is gentler and much more pleasant that microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion can feel abrasive and result in reddened irritated skin post treatment. Some patients have even noticed more acne and the appearance of blotchy skin after Microdermabrasion because the device tends to drag bacteria across the skin and can cross-contaminate other healthy parts of the skin.

Hydrafacial addresses multiple skin concerns at one time: wrinkles, sagging, congested pores, dead skin cells and dry skin. Microdermabrasion primarily focuses on resurfacing to strip dead skin cells and improve texture and is an excellent choice to prep the skin prior to chemical peels.

How often should I get a Hydrafacial?

Hydrafacial can produce prompt results in one treatment, but some skin conditions may require a few more sessions.

Problem areas vary between patients, so it may be difficult to always determine how many treatments will be needed to get the desired result. Some patients appear revitalized, their skin aglow after just one treatment. While some have more expansive skin issues and may need a few more visits. Typically, a series of 6 treatments is recommend about 2 weeks apart. Some suggest a treatment once a month to maintain the same healthy surface and to achieve maximum results.

Hydrafacial is a groundbreaking speedy technique that addresses multiple conditions at one time with no pain. For dehydration, acne, clogged pores, and sun damaged skin, this may be one of the best options on the market.
