CoolSculpting Starting at just $300 / month

Coolsculpting is a non-invasive, non surgical procedure that eliminates fat by freezing it, which will subsequently be destroyed in targeted areas. The process involves choosing the proper applicator for a selected area of stubborn fat. The area is mildly pinched between the applicator, so the area can be cooled. The area drops to a temperature that is cold enough to crystallize the fat cells, so they die. The body’s natural metabolic reaction will ultimately dispose of the fat without affecting the tissue outside of the area. The reduction will become noticeable within a few weeks of the procedure.

  • Double Chin

Removing excess fat beneath the chin through non-surgical measures. The fat is eliminated through extreme cold or heat to give the area between the chin and neck a more contoured appearance.

  • Saddle Bags

Saddlebags refer to the excess fat that appears around the hip, thighs, pelvis and buttocks. These fat deposits can be difficult to remove with diet and exercise.

  • Flanks

When the flanks (area just above the hips) extend to a width that is wider than usual. This may happen when there is excess fat on the buttocks and hips.

  • Love Handles

Love handles are the sections of fat that can develop around the waistline, particularly the sides and front of the stomach. The fat will protrude from the sides and hang in rolls on the lower area of the back.

  • Muffin Top

A term to describe a portion of body fat that bulges from the waistline of pants or skirts. This name derived from the idea that the stomach resembles the top of a muffin in a paper wrapper.

  • Abdominal Fat

The visceral fat that is located deep within the abdominal cavity. It lies deep below the skin’s surface and surrounds the organs, so it is difficult to grasp.

  • Bra Fat

Bra bulge is the excess fat that juts out between the armpits and chest of a woman. The fat is usually flabby and will often be apparent through clothes.

  • Back Fat

An accumulation of excess fat located on the back. The droopy fat can cover the area right beneath the shoulders to the waist.

  • Inner Thighs Rubbing

When excess fat on the inner thighs creates friction as they move together when walking. As this consistently happens, a person may develop chafing on the inner thighs.

  • Upper Arm Fat
CoolSculpting is one of the best ways to reduce annoying jiggly upper arm flab. We can combine CoolSculpting with Emsculpt to supercharge upper arm results as well.

About this Fat reduction treatment

This is the most well documented non-surgical, fat-reduction procedure on the market. It uses controlled cooling to eliminate stubborn fat cells from specific areas of the body. This treatment is beneficial because it targets fat cells directly, causing them to freeze and eventually be naturally eliminated from the body.

The advantage of CoolSculpting over other fat reduction methods is that it is non-invasive, meaning no incisions, needles, or anaesthesia are required. This means that there is no down-time after the procedure and patients can return to their normal activities immediately.

CoolSculpting is a safe and effective way to reduce stubborn fat without undergoing invasive surgery. With its range of applicators, it can be tailored to treat a variety of body areas to achieve the desired results.

By using the new CoolAdvantage applicator, the Coolsculpting procedure can be safely performed with an applicator cup to increase direct tissue contact at a lower temperature, which cuts the treatment time in half to about 30 minutes.  The all new CoolAdvantage applicators also treat a larger area and remove more fat than the previous CoolSculpting applicators as well as offering less discomfort and much higher patient satisfaction.

For patients who are getting CoolSculpting treatment for the first time or have decided to give CoolAdvantage a try, there are a series of questions that some patients may have before the procedure.  Here are some common ones.

CoolSculpting for Men

CoolSculpting is particularly effective for men who have gotten down to within 10 to 20 pounds of their ideal body weight but still have a stubborn pocket of fat obscuring the muscle they want to see. Most often this means abs. CoolSculpting Elite can treat both sides of the abs in a single treatment.

How does it work?

A cooling device is used on targeted areas of fat, so that the fat cells are destroyed and naturally eliminated from the body.

The process begins with a consultation with a trained CoolSculpting provider to determine if the treatment is right for you and to identify the specific areas that need to be treated. During the procedure, a CoolSculpting applicator is applied to the treatment area, delivering controlled cooling to the fat cells.

A technician gently marks an area of fat that you want to reduce, then with proper selection of the various applicators, the carefully positioned applicator attaches to the body with suction and safely delivers precisely controlled cooling to gently and effectively target the fat cells underneath the skin.  The treated fat cells are crystallized-frozen, then die, without disturbing the surrounding tissue.  Over time, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates the dead cells, which subsequently begins to show a slimmer more contoured body.

The sensation during the treatment is typically described as intense cold initially, but this sensation typically subsides within a few minutes. You may feel a tingling, numbing, or aching sensation during the treatment, but this is usually well-tolerated and temporary.

  • CoolCore Advantage
  • CoolCore Advantage Plus
CoolMini works great for double chins and neck fat. It is able to reach smaller, tighter areas.

The CoolCurve Advantage Plus is best for bra lines, flanks, love handles, and banana rolls on more petite people.

The CoolFit Advantage is best for inner thighs which posed a unique challenge for getting the original applicators to fit. CoolFit Advantage solves this with a special low profile design made for this purpose.

CoolPetite Advantage is purpose made for the jiggly fat of the upper arms, knees, and back of thighs.

The CoolCore Advantage is designed for the most popular CoolSculpting area – the tummy.

The CoolCore Advantage Plus is like the regular CoolCore Advantage but for larger treatments areas.

Is CoolSculpting uncomfortable or painful?

CoolSculpting is not painful and involves little discomfort.

Patients should expect to feel an extreme cooling sensation in the areas where they want fat reduction.  After a few minutes, the area will be numb, so the patient should feel comfortable enough to read a magazine during the procedure.

Are there any side effects or downtime associated with the procedure?

Patients may experience some mild, but temporary, discomfort after the procedure. They should be able to return to their normal activities the same day of the procedure.

After the CoolSculpting treatment, some patients may notice a little swelling, redness and itching, but these minor effects should clear up within days.  Treatments with the new CoolAdvantage applicator have drastically different rates of side effects than previous applicators.

When will I see results?

Patient results are typically measured 3 months after the last treatment but most patients notice results much sooner.

Depending on the patient, noticeable results can occur between 3 weeks and 3 months.  CoolSculpting at ASF can be boosted with complimentary combination treatments tailored for your fat loss.  Everyone’s body is different, so results from CoolSculpting may be evident as soon as 3 weeks, although most patients aren’t able to measure the results until at least 8 weeks.  To see the final transformation from the procedure, a patient should expect a 3-4-month time-span.  Some patients follow a recommendation of 2-3 treatments spaces 6-8 weeks apart for more prominent results and stubborn fat pockets.

Patients will gradually begin to see the fat reduction and contouring of their bodies in due time.  It’s just necessary to allow for this length of time, because of the natural way the body expels the frozen fat cells, which are now dead.

Is CoolSculpting permanent?

Once the fat cells are destroyed with the CoolSculpting treatment, those fat cells are gone long term just like with other forms of fat reduction such as liposuction.

Although the fat cells are gone, you should stick with a healthy diet and regular exercise to prevent accumulating fat in more unwanted areas.

How long does each CoolSculpting session take? How many do I need?

With CoolAdvantage, each treatment should take about 30 minutes.  The amount of treatments that you need will depend on how much fat you want to reduce.  Two treatments per area are typical, spaced about 6 weeks apart.
You can usually expect to notice results about three weeks after the procedure and the most extreme results in about one to three months. If you want to increase the fat reduction and contouring, have more treatments in multiple areas.

Are there at-home CoolSculpting devices that do the same thing?

As with any treatment that has proven itself successful, there are knockoffs that pop up to take advantage of uninformed consumers. CoolSculpting machines are professional medical devices which have been specifically approved by the FDA for their application. Cheap consumer grade devices are neither powerful nor sophisticated enough to cause true cryolipolysis.

CoolSculpting machines are only available through a medical facility after a physician consultation. The device is produced by Zeltiq who holds the patent for this cryolipolysis technology.

The Coolsculpting machine was designed for physicians and aesthetic specialists to operate in a controlled environment, such as an office or medical spa.  Professionals are certified, specially trained and supervised while learning to implement the procedure.

To achieve the best aesthetic results, it’s recommended that a patient consults a certified professional who specializes in body contouring processes.  They will be able to evaluate the patient, choose the best applicator for the fatty area and treat that area without disturbing the surrounding area.

They will also be able to properly address any risks or complications that may occur during the procedure.  Each patient is different and reactions to the treatment may vary from patient to patient.  Having a trained professional perform the procedure will ensure the best outcomes from the technique and the most comfort during the treatment.

How does CoolSculpting compare with Vanquish?

CoolSculpting freezes the fat cells and destroys them to later be naturally eliminated from the body. Vanquish heats the fat cells, then destroys them with the same elimination process.

Both technologies are non-invasive procedures that destroy fat cells, which are subsequently eliminated from the body naturally. But the stark difference between CoolSculpting and Vanquish is that CoolSculpting uses a cooling technology to destroy targeted fat cells, while it avoids harming the surrounding tissue.  Vanquish uses multi-polar radio frequency technology to heat and destroy fat cells, without damaging the surrounding tissue.

CoolSculpting offers more capability for actually “sculpting” the body and can be used on more areas of the body.  Vanquish is better for overall “debulking” of the fat on the abdomen or flanks but can’t be used to precisely “sculpt” the body like CoolSculpting.

CoolSculpting vs Lipo. What’s the Difference?

CoolSculpting is non-invasive and Liposuction is more of an invasive surgical procedure that requires more time to recover.

CoolSculpting, like Liposuction targets specific areas of the body to reduce fat cells and contour your shape.  What makes them vastly different is that CoolSculpting does not use needles to penetrate the skin like the liposuction laser and it requires no downtime.  Liposuction requires at least a week recovery before resuming normal activities and may take 3-4 months to fully recover, along with aftercare.  Liposuction can use a laser to melt the fat and suck it from the body such as with LASER Lipo, but CoolSculpting uses an applicator to freeze the fat and lets the body naturally remove the dead cells from the body.

CoolSculpting is also less expensive than Lipo.

CoolSculpting takes about 30-45- minutes for each area.  Liposuction varies in length depending on the amount of fat being removed.
