vShape Skin Tightening
vShape™ Radiofrequency for Skin Tightening, Toning & Firming lets you renew, revitalize and refresh your skin all in one visit.
Overexposure to the sun can hasten the decline in the elastin and collagen in the skin, which naturally occurs with age progression from free radicals. The after effects can appear as wrinkles, loose sagging skin, uneven skin tone and leathery skin. There are treatments on the market that minimize the damage, but some of them are surgical procedures that require a lengthy treatment session and extended amounts of time for recovery. They’re also expensive and don’t always produce satisfying results.
At Advanced Skin Fitness, we recommend vShape Radiofrequency to diminish the skin damage caused by sun exposure and aging by penetrating the deeper layers of the skin to promote collagen reproduction. It’s a non-invasive, non-surgical treatment that is performed expeditiously to tighten skin, contour the body and rejuvenate the skin, so the texture is smooth and youthful again.
The unique benefit of radio frequency is that it can work deep into the dermal layer of the skin without causing harm to the upper levels. Radio frequency can be utilized in a variety of ways to treat loose, sagging, wrinkles skin, but patients have questions before the procedure. Below are a few of the most common ones.
- What is vShape Radiofrequency?
- How does vShape work?
- How long is each vShape treatment and is it painful?
- Does the vShape have side effects or require downtime?
- How many treatments are required to see results with vShape?
- How long do the effects of the vShape treatment last?
- Does vShape work well on all Skin Types?
- What areas are treated with vShape technology?
- What is the best way to prepare for vShape treatment?
What is vShape Radiofrequency?
vShape is a safe, non-invasive radiofrequency technology that tightens and firms loose skin, as well and contours the shape and smooths the shape of the treated area.
vShape is a revolutionary treatment that repairs aging and sun damaged skin in a number of ways.
It’s remarkably effective at lifting and tightening the neck, face, arms, legs, abdomen, and buttocks.
How does vShape work?
vShape works by using radio frequency to penetrate the dermal layer of the skin, which subsequently encourages collagen to regrow naturally so that the skin firms and tightens.
The heat from radio-frequency only penetrates the deep layer of the skin, avoiding the epidermis so that the outer skin is not marred. Because it involves using Dual-layer RF Thermotherapy, it allows the focused delivery of concentrated thermal energy to trigger collagen reproduction. The skin is cooled and the result is renewed, revitalized skin that is refreshed, firm and rejuvenated. The skin continually produces collagen for around 4 – 6 months after a series of treatments, so there is great improvement in wrinkles, sagging and, loss of stretch marks.
How long is each vShape treatment and is it painful?
Each vShape treatment is fast and takes about 30 – 45 minutes. The procedure is not painful, but the patient will feel some gentle sensations.
The vShape procedure does not take much time out of a patient’s schedule and is comfortable enough that it does not require anesthesia to perform. Most patients should feel a moderate vibration accompanied with sensations of cooling on the upper layer of the skin and heat on the treated areas each time they feel a pulse.
Does the vShape have side effects or require downtime?
vShape is non-invasive and typically painless, so there is no downtime involved with the procedure.
The treatment is fast and easy. The skin does not have to be lacerated or bruised in the process, so the procedure does not require the use of an anesthetic. The procedure is comfortable for most patients, therefore, they don’t have to be concerned with recuperation time. In fact, patients are able to return to their usual regimens directly following the treatment.
Post procedure, some patients may experience redness and subtle irritation due to swelling on areas where the skin is thin. In a few days, these effects should subside. Patients are advised to avoid sun exposure during the duration of treatment for maximum effects and to avoid any additional discomfort.
How many treatments are required to see results with vShape?
There are noticeable results after the first treatment, but more treatments will produce maximum effectiveness. We recommend about 6-8 treatments for a particular treatment area.
The first treatment encourages collagen regrowth, which happens gradually so that after each treatment the patient will see continued improvement in their skin. But results are faster with multiple treatments for a particular area of concern. The skin will stay tight, firm, contoured and smooth for much longer.
How long do the effects of the vShape treatment last?
Patients should see the effects of the treatments last between 1 and 3 years.
Each patient is different, so the length of time for results to last varies. Depending on the patient, the procedure may need to be performed intermittently to prolong the effects of the treatment.
Does vShape work well on all Skin Types?
vShape works well on all skin types, even skin of color.
vShape is able to effectively treat different skin types and body types all year, because of the control the technician has with the penetration of the radio-frequency.
What areas are treated with vShape technology?
vShape can treat various areas of the body on the face, neck, arms, legs, abdomen, buttocks, and back.
The treatment can have amazing effects on particular areas of the skin like the neck, inner, outer, front and back of thighs. Other areas that are treated are the upper and lower back, buttocks, waist, abdomen and upper arms.
What is the best way to prepare for vShape treatment?
The patient should also be properly hydrated and be cleansed of any topical oils or creams prior to treatment.
For the most beneficial treatment, the patient should be properly hydrated the day before, day of, and day after each treatment with 80 – 100 ounces of water. They should also refrain from using lotions, creams, and perfumes the day of the treatment.
