A drive-thru option is now available to people who want to get their coffee and tea from La La Land Kind Cafe according to a Dallas Morning News article. They say,
“La La Land Kind Cafe, the cheery coffee shop with the can’t-miss-’em yellow cups, has opened a drive-through in Richardson. Staffers started selling lattes and matcha teas on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022; they’ll be fully open by Saturday, Sept. 17, 2022.
La La Land is one of North Texas’ highest-profile indie coffee shops. It was featured on a segment of the Netflix show Selling Sunset and has nearly a quarter of a million Instagram followers. When the first one opened near Greenville Avenue in Dallas, founder Francois Reihani, then 23, made headlines for hiring foster kids looking for jobs in Dallas. (The company still employs foster youths at one location in each city, but the remainder of the stores do not follow the same program, he says.)”
The positively-filled cafe has been making waves not just through its coffees, teas and lattes but also through its impact to the society according to a Yahoo News article from October 21 which reports,
It proudly makes delicious handcrafted beverages — but the café has a much bigger purpose for its business as well.
“We believe that success is measured [by] the positive impact we make in society, not just how much money we make,” according to the café’s website.
“If we can have a positive impact on all human beings who walk through our doors, the kindness will spread like wildfire,” the company believes.”
Currently, they are undertaking an initiative for their employees and a program for foster youth who are in need of employment.
